Sales of public cloud services are also pulling strong this year, according to research firm Gartner. Its fresh forecast suggests that €629 billion will be spent globally on the public cloud in 2024, representing a 20 percent increase compared to last year. Gartner attributes the growth largely to the breakthrough of generative artificial intelligence.
